This week will be “Try a New Sport” Week in PE lessons.
You will have the opportunity to choose from a range of activities during your PE lessons this week.
There will be a water based option too, so please bring the following:
- full PE kit
- sunhat
- water bottles
- swim kit (if you want to try the water sport)
Change at the gymnastics changing rooms and meet your PE teacher on the Hardcourt.
PE starting on 8th February
Share this with your parents as you may need new football boots for Teeball.

Yr5 Coding Lesson Page - Events
In Computer Science, an 'event' is a software message that indicates something has happened. Today you will code events in Minecraft.
1: Go to your Technology Google Classroom and get a copy of the Coding Journal. You will use this each week to record your progress.
2: Open Minecraft and start the Events Coding World. Choose your level of challenge and Press C to open the code screen.

3: Share your learning in your Coding Journal. Use the first slide to show what an "event" is and explain a solution you made.

Last term we learned about the importance of coral reefs.
When you return to school, you will be writing a persuasive speech.
You will imagine that you work on Koh Tao and you are giving a speech to some tourists who have just arrived.
You will have to inform them about the importance of coral reefs.
You will have to persuade them to take appropriate actions to protect reefs.
