A Note from the Principal

28 March 2025

A big thank you to our wonderful teachers and parents for helping this week’s Parent-Teacher meetings run so smoothly! Your next chance to meet with your child’s teacher will be during our 3-Way Conferencing event in June.

Looking ahead to next week, we are excited about the swimming galas, Year 3 Inventors' Day, and our special Songkran assembly. It is hard to believe the end of term is just around the corner!

Songkran

To celebrate Songkran ( Friday 4th April) students are encouraged to wear traditional Thai dress or a flowery Songkran shirt. Otherwise, normal school uniform should be worn.

There will be a Songkran Assembly in the Sports Hall at 08:50am. Parents are welcome to attend and are asked to sit on the viewing platform, as space is limited in the hall.

Learning

Calculation Year 3 and Year 4

We are sharing this document with you so that you know how to support your child with calculations at home. Please ask for clarification if you need it.

Class blogs

Each week, we publish class blogs. The purpose of these is to give you an insight into your child's learning and what is happening in Year 4. Please visit the class blog and discuss your child's learning with them.

Birthdays

Parents should not bring in class gifts, balloons, bubbles, whistles, games, drinks etc. Your child's class teacher will politely ask you to take these home with you. We enjoy celebrating birthdays by sharing a birthday treat such as donuts or cakes.

We are a NUT FREE school. Please when ordering birthday treats double check before bringing treats on the campus.

Many toppings offered by some donut shops have flaked almonds in their toppings and peanut butter fillings. If you bring these in, unfortunately, we will have to send them home

Birthday Treats

  • Children may bring in a special treat to share with the class.
  • Please contact the class teacher to arrange a suitable time. In Year 4, you can do this on Monday or Wednesday as we have Spelling lessons on other days.
  • Brownies, cupcakes, small donuts, and cake slices are easier for your child to give out.
  • We do not give out drinks (e.g., bubble tea, sodas)
  • Please reduce plastic packaging.
  • We do not allow party bags or other gifts to be given out at school, either for birthdays, or other celebrations.

The following students celebrated their birthdays this week:

Happy Birthday to those students who will celebrate their birthday next week or during the holidays.

Temporary Guardianship Form

Please complete this form if your child is going to be staying with anyone other than their immediate family. This helps us to contact the appropriate adult should there be an emergency.
