Living our Values

We are Balanced and Fulfilled

It's been lovely to see all our classes start to form their new community this term.  It has been wonderful to see some new friendships forming whilst still playing with 'old' friends.

Well-Being

Nut free Primary School

For some children, any exposure to nuts is potentially very dangerous and can be life threatening.

We do not allow any nuts to be brought into Primary. This includes snacks on school transport, birthday treats and food items brought in for any other special days.

Some treats, such as macarons contain hidden nuts. Please check the ingredients before sending into school. If snacks or birthday treats are found to contain nuts, we will contact you and either dispose of the food safely or ask you to collect and take back home.

Learning

This week the children have been exposed to lots of fun activities, which focused on developing collaborative skills, growth mindset  and an opportunity to meet new friends.

This week's team building tasks involved working together to make the slowest marble run on a tilted table. This certainly challenged the children's thinking and it was fantastic to see how their creative minds worked and how well they developed their collaborative skills throughout the process.

PE sessions will start next Tuesday.  Below is the curriculum map for Unit 1A.

This term we will be learning...

Global Citizenship

Ring Pull Donations

We would like to ask that you collect and donate ring pulls from canned drinks, which we will donate to local Thai hospitals and charities to help them build prosthetic limbs for people who need them.

3000 ring pulls are needed to build 1 limb. Please send in ring pulls to your class teacher who will collect them and send them through to the Primary Office, or drop them directly into the box in the Primary Office.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Birthdays

This week we have had the following students celebrating:

  • Erika- 4D - 21st August
  • Emily- 4B- 22nd August
  • Akisato and Raman - 4D 23rd August
We hope you all enjoyed having your birthday this week.

We have two birthdays in Y4 next week.  Happy birthday to Sam and Elina (both in 4T) who are both celebrating on the 26th of August.  We hope you have a wonderful day.

General Information

You are invited to attend an 'Introduction to the Learning' in our Y4 shared area next Thursday.  We will try to keep the first part as short as possible to give you time with your child's class teacher in their classroom afterwards.

Please note that this is a general introduction and overview of the class' learning journey as a whole. It is not a time for individual appointments.
