Today, the students from 1M and 1B were all really happy to be back in school, though a little sad they have missed their trip to Samrong Market. To try and cheer them up a little, the staff bought lots of fruit into school to at least allow the students the chance to make smoothies and fruit salads, as part of our learning about instructions.
In Mr Madden's room, each group had to follow the instructions about how to make a smoothie, using time connectives (First, next, then, finally) and bossy (imperative) verbs like cut, slice, pour, mix.
Tomorrow and Wednesday the students are going to write their own instructions for a smoothie, ready to take home for the holidays.
