Fun Day!

Members of the SEC at the SEC Fun Day stall

Last Saturday, the 20th of February, Patana held its annual Fun Day. For the second year in a row, the Student Environmental Committee (SEC) had their own stall, along with a group of other CAT clubs. Members of the SEC were at Patana bright and early to set up the stall, set up the game, gather the prizes and prepare for the day ahead. As Fun Day opened to the crowds of people from young and old, more and more people started to visit and play the SEC game, which was throwing a ball into one of three holes from a distance away - sounds very simple but it actually got quite competitive between competitors! In addition to the game, the SEC and our accomplishments and aims were advertised as well. We ended up having tons of people visit our stall and learn something about the environment and us as a group.

Thank you to Esther and the PTG that helped us to make a few changes to Fun Day this year to make it more environmentally friendly, such as helping us to implement recycling bins around the Primary school for Fun Day! Hopefully, next year we’ll be able to go even bigger.

If you didn’t get to visit the stall this year be sure to come by next year, play our game and learn a bit about what we’re doing at the SEC.
