Good Morning!
Miss Sarah says Good Morning today!
Thank you for sharing your special moments at home.
You can now find pictures of your friends in class folders on the main Nursery page - here
These are some ideas for learning at home today. Parents please remember that there is no expectation to complete all of these! Keeping a routine for your child and maintaining contact with school are the most important thing.
Wake Up Song!
Get ready for tomorrow's well-being calls!..
Tomorrow, during our well-being calls we will have a dance party. Your child is welcome to wear their party clothing if they wish. If you have a balloon or a scarf you can also bring it along to the well-being call. We have been focusing on health and self care this week, so it will be a great way to get our bodies moving and to observe how our bodies feel after exercise. We can’t wait to see your dance moves!

Physical Development - Health and Self Care
We are keen to create opportunities that enable your children to move towards independence. It is so important that they become more self aware with health routines that will support them with staying safe and keeping healthy.
Today, we will be exploring different fastenings. We wonder if you can challenge yourself to get dressed independently? There are many different ways children can develop fine motor skills by using zippers, opening and closing buttons, opening and closing snap fasteners. All of these are a great way of developing fine motor skills as your child pinches their fingers to pull up a zip or manipulaTe a button. It might take your child a long time to begin and this is ok. Practicing on clothing that is not on the body is easier, you can see what is happening as you manipulate the fastening.
Thai Translation:
Have a go at fastening the zip on your swimsuit.
ลองรูดซิปเวลาที่เราใส่ชุดว่ายน้ำเองดูสิคะเด็กๆ
Try to put your shoes on all by yourself. Don’t forget to fasten the velcro at the end.
Dressing promotes the Characteristics of Effective learning. We can learn so much from trying to get dressed independently.
- Keep on trying
- Develop independence
- Persisting with activity when challenges occur
- Bouncing back after difficulties
- Showing satisfaction in meeting their own goals
- If your child is having trouble, it can be tempting to jump in to help. But give your child a chance to work it out for themselves, and cheer on as your child has a go. This will give your child a sense of achievement when they realise they can do it!

We want your child to explore different fastenings. They might decide to zip up a bag, zip up a coat, button a jumper, put on their shoes or explore other fastenings.
If you are sharing any photos/ videos of your child please ensure they are appropriately dressed, so we can share these on our FSN Home Learning page.

Keeping Children Safe Online...
Please support your children's online safety by sharing our continued learning code of conduct here:
Using ILD
ILD is the platform Foundation Stage use for sharing learning. Sending pictures and videos here allows teachers to give personalised feedback on children's learning. A gentle reminder that teachers are unable to provide feedback via email or Teams chat. A parent guide of how to use this platform is in the document below.
We would love you to upload an ILD observation of your child learning today.
Have a wonderful day of learning at home today!
