Good morning FS1 and FS2: click the links to find the video from your class teacher!
We have had so much wonderful learning shared from home that we have now created a 'Sharing Our Learning' gallery on the main page so we can keep on adding more!
These are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!
This week in Foundation Stage we are going to become....
If you missed Monday or Tuesday's Little Scientist Learning learning you can go back to find out more here:
Phase 1 -Research
Phase 2 - Explore and Observe:
Phase 3 - Predict and Test Ideas!
As ‘Little Scientists’ you have been observers, taking time to notice and to wonder.
Now it is time for you to choose what you would like to investigate further.
What are you curious about?
What are you going to need to set up your experiment?
What will you do?
The focus today is on you using the scientific skill of ‘prediction’ We would like you to think about what you think might happen next …
Now you can carry out the investigation to find out what happens …

Sensory Play - calming bottles!
Calm Down Bottles are a way for children to begin to move from co-regulation (needing help from an adult to calm down when overstimulated or upset) to self regulation (using learned strategies to calm down by themselves). Shaking the bottle provides the input your child needs to shake out the big feelings they are having and watching the objects falling down to the bottom helps your child to shift their focus and to calm themselves down. Make the bottle with your child. Ask them what they would like to put in their bottle. Although I find that glitter works best, you can try using other items that you can find in your home instead e.g. lego block, loom bands, beads, buttons, sequins, googly eyes, water beads, shells etc.
