Wake Up Song
Can you move the different parts of your body to the music? This is a great way to learn new vocabulary, and to get our bodies ready for some fabulous learning. Where is your thigh?
Physical Development
Now, are you ready for some more exercise? Have a look at Mr Tristan’s amazing ‘bowling’ game. You will need to use some different parts of your body for this. I wonder how accurate you can be with your rolling? Who is the best roller in your house? How do you know? Did you find a good way to keep score?

Understanding Our World
Today’s learning is from ‘Understanding the World’ and it is a key skill of how children notice detailed features of their environment and the world around them. What adults can do to support this is:
- Make use of outdoor areas to give opportunities for investigations of the natural world, for example, provide chimes, streamers, windmills and bubbles to investigate the effects of wind.
- Provide story and information books about places, such as a zoo or the beach, to remind children of visits to real places.

You will need a few sheets of paper and crayons.
Explore your environment looking for different textures and patterns to print using crayons. Show your child how to place their paper on top of the object and to rub using a crayon to create a pattern. Look for lots of different surfaces to rub and notice patterns made by trees, paths, walls… As you explore, discuss the shapes you see, the patterns that are made and use clear positional language when possible.

Please send videos or photographs of what your child notices and if they tell you something. It is important to tell us the words your child uses. If they are speaking in their home language this is wonderful, please translate it for us. We can link learning to Communication and Language as well, if the spoken words are in English.

Keeping Children Safe Online...
Please support your children's online safety by sharing our continued learning code of conduct here:
Using ILD
ILD is the platform Foundation Stage use for sharing learning. Sending pictures and videos here allows teachers to give personalised feedback on children's learning. A gentle reminder that teachers are unable to provide feedback via email or Teams chat. A parent guide of how to use this platform is in the document below.
We would love you to upload an ILD observation of your child learning today.
Have a wonderful day of learning at home today!
