Well-Being Calls
You should have received email communication from your class teacher regarding your wellbeing calls this morning. Please re-familiarise yourself with the reminders below:
Good Morning Nursery!
Below are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!
Wake Up Music!
This week we are being...
Good morning imaginative story tellers! Now that you have had a go at role playing an imaginative story and making your very own monster, why not think about an imaginary place for a story. You might want to use the journey that Max made across the ocean to the wild forest as your inspiration, or you might want to make a different imaginary world full of your own ideas! But...How will you get there? Max took a sailing boat to his imaginary island. How will you get you yours? First, you will need to make a map! Maps are a great way to show your imaginative ideas!
Before the Songkran break some children in FSD were very interested in making maps! Just look at these amazing examples!
Watch Miss Sarah’s top tips on making a really imaginative map!
Parents, the most important part is to let the children use their own ideas and let their imagination run wild! Ask your child to tell you all about their map and the ideas they have used. This is a good time for you to scribe exactly what your child says as they go, either on the map directly or on a separate piece of paper. This allows their thinking to flow without being distracted by the writing process. This can come later! This task is more about imaginative storytelling than writing. We want the children to talk about their ideas! However, if your child does want to add some writing, either some captions or even to write some sentences (FS2) about their map or story that is great too!

Sensory Play
You are going on a senses hunt. You are going to stop at 3 different places and each time you are going to use different senses to see what you can notice at each spot. You are going to use your sense of sight (eyes), sense of sound (ears) and sense of touch (hands).
In this game you will use your senses to pay attention to what you can see, hear and touch. This game can help you to feel calm and to notice the things around you.

Phase 1 Phonics Game
Phase One phonics is all about developing children's auditory skills in preparation for phonic sound discrimination! Tuning into and identifying different sounds is all part of this.
Listen to the sounds from around the house. Parents please pause the video after each sound to encourage your child to guess the sound.
Sound hunt! How many different sounds can you find around your house. Why not record the sounds or take photo's of all the sound making objects you find in your house and share it on ILD!
We can't wait to see how you get on with this game on ILD!
