Design and Make your Imaginative Vehicle to Get You There!
In our story, Max finds a boat to take him to the wild things. Without his sailboat he would never have reached them! So, little monsters, today can you design a form of transport to get you to the land of your wild creatures? You may wish to build a boat like Max or something totally different! How about a rocket or a bike? A hovercraft or a pair of roller skates?

Now that you have your transportation, use yesterday’s map to find your way! We can’t wait to see your imaginative transport creations! Please share your journeys with your teachers on ILD!

Wash your car, bike or scooter today. Washing a vehicle with sponges, and by pouring water on the vehicle using heavy jugs, helps to build strong muscles in our shoulders, arms and hands. Have fun!

Describing
What do you notice? What do you wonder?
Have you ever shared anything? Tell me about what happened. How many people were there?
Here are two (or three, or more) toys. Tell us how you could share so that they all have the same number.
Reasoning
What will happen if another person turns up now? Can you explain why you think that?
How do you know that they will each get that many? Shall we act it out?
Have they all got the same? How do you know? Can you prove it? Can you show me?
Opening Out
What do you think the children should/might do now? (When another person joins).
I wonder what would happen if there were a smaller number of items?
An odd number of people at the door? Or a number giving remainders? E.g. ten shared between three or four.
Recording
Would you like to do a drawing/picture to show how you could share out the items fairly?
