Being a 'Little Explorer' can take many different forms and, just like our play, it is open-ended. Whatever your child is interested in, and wherever they want to take their inquiry, they are welcome to.
Learning from real life experiences is always a wonderful way to motivate children. They may wish to find out more about something they found interesting during the school break, or perhaps go out and explore their garden, park or wider environment. They might be interested in learning more about their family, community or a culture further afield.

Today you can ask an expert to help you with your exploration!
Watch Miss Sophie asking an expert about her exploration to find out even more! Who will you ask? What do you still need to know?
Remember you can use these question words to help you to ask an expert!

Today you may want to decide what you want to ‘do’ something special with the information you have found out so far… You may want to start making something, conduct an experiment, create a poster or book maybe?
You could share your learning in many ways. Here are a few examples of how I could share my ‘under the sea’ exploration. How many different ideas can you come up with to share your exploration topic?
I have decided to make an ‘Under the Sea’ scene with playdough!
How will you share your learning? Don't forget to share it on ILD!
