Good afternoon Year 6

This PSHE session is about spending time on developing our well-being. Focusing on having a healthy well-being helps us cope with changes that happen in life. Taking time to focus on things which make us happy, and give us energy, will help develop a positive mind-set. Below are some habits to develop:

  • Get 10 -12 hours of sleep per night

  • Practise creativity

  • Exercise frequently

  • Find a quiet space for some downtime

  • Talking about worries

  • Have routines

  • Connecting with friends

  • Have fun and laughter

  • Playing freely

  • Enjoy healthy food and drink lots of water

During this PSHE session, choose something offline which makes you feel contented and relaxed. 

Here’s some suggestions:

  • Play with Lego

  • Practising yoga

  • Sketching – observational drawings

  • Making jigsaw puzzles

  • Writing in a journal

  • Reading

  • Playing a musical instrument

  • Making crafts

  • Lying in the sun and watching the clouds go by
