Brain Break

As you may remember, we have built in brain breaks after every lesson. These are really important to allow your body to have a chance to move after being sat for a while. It is also important for your eyes to have a break from staring at the screen.

Use the next 20 minutes to get up, move around the house and get something to drink ready for your next lesson at 9am.

Your PE learning

Can I describe how my body changes when I exercise?

Welcome back everyone and Happy New Year. Over the next few weeks the Primary PE Team will be providing you with lots of exercise ideas that you can try at home.

Today we really want you to focus on how the exercises are affecting your body.

Work hard everyone and enjoy!

Time Frame: 1 lesson (40 minutes)

Resources: Laptop and a timer

Warm-Up: This short workout will certainly help with your breathing and focus (Breathe Easy). Take your time with this and focus on every breath.

Learning Task: Here are 2 more workouts for you to follow. Have a go at the two of them and see which level you can get to:

Workout 1 - Upper Body

Workout 2 - Solid Core

You’ll need a timer for these and remember quality is better than quantity, slow down your movements. As you exercise, think about the effects it is having on your body, for example what happens to your heart rate, your breathing, how do your muscles feel? Maybe you could discuss your thoughts and ideas with another member of your family.

Additional Activities:

Go to the Primary PE Blog and have a look at the Virtual Home Learning section where you’ll finds lots of different activities which will keep you active (Joe Wicks is always a good option).
