We have began a two week block on measuring and have started with measuring the capacity [the space inside] of different containers using cubes, pegs and water! We have used words such as full, empty, half full, half empty, nearly full and nearly empty.
We had an assembly with Mr Mark and have been thinking about the importance of keeping our oceans clean and learning what we can do to help by ;
using less plastic [reducing] For example using cloth bags for our shopping and metal / bamboo straws
having reusable water bottles [reusing]
making use of recycling bins [recycling]
We have made posters to share our ideas and persuade others to help us keep our oceans clean:
