This week we have been learning about the features of a fiction [story] book in our library lesson. We have learnt that they have ; authors, illustrators, a blurb, illustrations, a title, a front cover, a back cover, a spine, pages and some time page numbers. Can you find a storybook at home and see if you can find all of these features?
In Science, we started to think about what animals eat. We learnt 3 new words - carnivore, herbivore and omnivore. Can you remember what they mean? We then classified [sorted] some animals into their right groups.
In maths, we were thinking about adding numbers together and the different ways we can say 'add' [count on, plus]. We then practised writing some number sentences in our maths books!
Of course, we had also found time to play with our friends too!

I have learnt about the features of a book from Rosie this week, we have been looking at the books at home and found out about details you have taught her, some books we have,they don’t have page numbers which I never notice.
