Welcome to our first blog post. Each week I will share some of our learning and activities that happened throughout the week in 1T. It is really great to get comments from the students and their parents about our week. Try asking your child about their week [What did you learn? OR What was your favourite activity?] and then leave a comment at the bottom of the page. We will then share them in class.
We have had an amazing first few days and 1T have been superstars. It is so nice to return to school and to have a full class - we have been getting to know each other and learning the routines and expectations in Year 1, including learning how to keep social distanced. When we sit down we use our 'chicken wings' to keep us apart and when we move around the school we are all 'sleep walkers'.
We have explored our exciting new learning areas in our class and got to know lots of the adults who will help us on our learning journey this year.
I would also like to send a special welcome to Matt and Ana who are joining our class this year.
Specialist timetable
Super spellers
Learning through play
Master jigsaw puzzle solvers
Our first lunch and snack together
I am very proud of all of the students and look forward to developing their learning this year. I can't wait til Monday!

Thank you very much Ms. Tracey for the first blog update for 1T in 2020. Rosie came home on Thursday which was her official first day and she couldn't stop dancing around and talking about her day at school. Thank you for an amazing first week at school :)

Thank you for the updates Ms. Tracey. It’s lovely to see familiar faces with big smiles! Aki settled in nicely to my surprise and shared with me that he had learned many new routines! He proudly told me that 1T would go upstairs to have a lunch which he enjoys! He also said he was looking forward to ICT on Monday!

What an amazing start to Year One. Catherine could not wait to tell us that she has been elected as the class Milk Monitor and that they are all Milk Monsters who drank lots of milk :))
So happy with this turn of event for a girl who would not go near the milk station when she was younger.

Thank you so much Ms. Tracey and Ana appreciates the warm welcome. Indeed a fantastic first week and she coached our entire family how to dance the Popsicle dance :-)! She’s absolutely happy and tells us every day about her amazing experiences in school.
