5, 4, 3, 2, 1 LIFT OFF!!

This week in 1T we started to respond to pictures in a new book. We were told about a little girl called Astrid and then asked to make predictions - what did she like to do? What might happen in the story? Look at all of those amazing capital letters and full stops!

We then followed our theme by making our own cylinders to make rockets, building aliens, rockets, space buggies and space creatures from IO Blocks, as well as having 'ping pong' space races!

We have also practised using Bug Club and earned our first gold coins. I wonder who will have the most by the end of next week? Password cards are pasted into the little purple books for them

In maths, we have been thinking about taking away [subtract, count back] and how to write these number sentences. There are lots of fun games to practise this skill on the right hand side of our Blog.

Don't forget to check out this week's new 'active' dance 'Popping Bubbles'.

  Good team work girls!

  1. Thanks for sharing. Really glad to see how kids started writing the sentence. I will accompany Khaosuay to use Bug Club as you suggested.

    2. Making predictions? Brilliant! Next step is to justify them, then you have a hypothesis. The first step of the Scientific Method :-)

      1. You will be pleased to know that they were able to explain their predictions. 1T love their Science too and are beginning to think like them.

      2. Thank you for updating. Rui really enjoys reading through bug club as it's fun like playing a game. How often do you add books to it? Or are we supposed to ask you to add new ones?

        1. That is great to hear Yuko, Rui can let me know when he has finished all of his books and I can add some more for him.
