Tiger Day in 1M - purrfect!

1M celebrated Tiger Spirit Day in full today, joining in with a range of tiger activities and learning. This morning we made tiger masks, practising our fine-motor skills and coordination. After Music, we were treated to a performance of the famous story "The Tiger who came to tea", with lots of the characters from Year 1, including a not-too convincing Tiger! We carried on as usual after break with Guided reading and Connected Learning, but were then able to go to Year 4 and buy a cake from their Bake Sale. Finally, 4D came down to join with us and challenged us to a Maths Trail in our playground, with lots of counting, measuring and sorting activities which revealed clues to a mystery phrase (Tiger Spirit Day!).

We had a grrrrrreat time on Tiger Spirit Day and hopefully raised lots of money for good causes. Some of the children have brought home Lunch Logs to complete over the weekend and also a stand-up tiger - good luck with both of these activities!
