Early this morning, we strolled up to the Art Room and our teacher was called Mr David. We made coils out of clay and then we started to slowly build our performers. The coils were soft and squidgy. First, we rolled them gently as far as we could, up and down the board. Then, we made them into doughnuts by bending the sausage shape into a circle and joining the ends together with mud. After that, we stacked them up to make the body. We had to scratch each coil to make them stick together. Finally, we rolled a bit of clay into a ball to make a head and stuck it on top. Also, we had to get a little bit of mud and run our finger around the head to make a neck. We were proud of our performers and we are excited to do the next bit!
