Good Morning!
Thank you for sharing your special moments at home.
You can find pictures of you and your friends learning from home on the main Nursery page - here
These are some ideas for learning at home today. Parents please remember that there is no expectation to complete all of these! Keeping a routine for your child and maintaining contact with school are the most important thing.

Shape, Space and Measure
This week, we are exploring shapes. We would like you to have a go at printing using shapes. You will need some packaging, shapes or some shape stamps. You can make your own stamps using toilet roll holders, potatoes or other fruit/ veg. You might want to make some small shapes and some large shapes. This would be a great way to incorporate size into play.
Language of Shape
Can you name the different shapes?
Do they have curved sides or straight sides?
Can you think of any other shapes you can make?
Please keep your shape prints. We will be using them as part of our learning tomorrow. You might want to cut your shapes out carefully using some scissors.

Sensory Play!
Ice sensory play - Frozen Dinosaur Eggs!
Playing with ice encourages children to explore different temperatures with their senses, and to understand the concepts of cold, freezing, melting among others as they freely explore the ice.
Let's make frozen dinosaur eggs!
This could also be done with different toys/ shapes/ small objects.
Equipment!
- balloons , mini dinosaur figures, water
Instructions:
Thai Translation:
How will you play with your frozen dinosaur eggs?
Now we get back to the imaginative play! You might decorate them, hide them, or explore how to get the dinosaurs out. What do you notice about the ice? How does it feel? Why is it melting? Can you make it melt faster or slower - how?
Next time, you might make the eggs differently by adding different food colouring in the water, putting different objects in the ice (such as plastic toys, leaves, flowers), or use different shaped containers to make ice of different shapes and sizes.
See the original blog post for more details and ideas: HERE

We are looking for children to show an awareness of shapes. They might begin to name and talk about their shapes. They might notice that some shapes have curved sides and some have straight sides.

Using ILD
ILD is the platform Foundation Stage use for sharing learning. Sending pictures and videos here allows teachers to give personalised feedback on children's learning. A gentle reminder that teachers are unable to provide feedback via email or Teams chat. A parent guide of how to use this platform is in the document below.
We would love you to upload an ILD observation of your child learning today.
Have a wonderful day of learning at home today!
