Good Morning Nursery!
Below are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!

This week we are being...
This week in FS we are using the ‘Little Helpers’ books by our visiting author Claire Culliford to inspire us to do more to take care of our world! Today’s book is, Penny Helps Protect the Polar Ice Caps! Listen to the story to hear what a good helper she is!
Thai Version
In Penny’s story, she looks after her frozen home by encouraging her friends to cover up their ice cap with an umbrella. Ms Elizabeth was curious to see if Penny’s idea would really work. Does ice stay frozen if it’s shaded? What happens if it’s in the sun? Is there anything else we can do to keep ice from melting outside?
Here is how Ms Elizabeth set up her ice experiment:
If you’re interested to find out why the ice caps melting is a problem for our world, check out this video from the Science Kids and their scientist dad.
Welcome to one more day of International Children’s Book Week! Were you able to find your favourite book? Did you share it with your family? Remember, we want to hear about why you love this book so much, so we’re asking you to do a book review. Please make a video to share with us why you love your book so much!
Or, you can make a video of you and your family reading your favourite book together. Check out these family story times:
Please share your favourite books and family story time with us on ILD. We would love to share your family stories on our CSL page.

Why not switch a meaty snack for a fruity snack today. Eating fruit and veg is much better for our world than eating lots of meat!

Just like Mr Tristan, can you create your own obstacle course? See what objects you can use to move around, over, under and through. Don’t forget to tidy up by yourself when you're finished and have fun!
