Don't forget, that during our wellbeing calls:
- we make sure a grown up is always nearby
- we are fully dressed
- we don't eat whilst on a call
- we wait for our class teacher to start the call

Can you share your wonderful exploration with your teacher via ILD?
- They talk about the features of their own immediate environment and how environments might vary from one another.
- They develop their own narratives and explanations by connecting ideas or events.

Sensory Play
Guess The Smell
Use yogurt pots or little cups, put a piece of kitchen towel or cotton wool in each cup or a little bit of that food item in the cup.
Find 3-5 different items that have different smells.
Cover your child’s eyes or ask them to keep their eyes closed while they use their sense of smell to guess what is in the pot without looking at it.
You could use lime, orange, shampoo, talcum powder, coffee, onion, garlic, fish sauce, soap, vanilla essence for this game.
This game helps your child to focus on their sense of smell to extend their vocabulary as they try to describe the items that they are smelling.

Alliteration is when words start with the same sound, like sun, star, snowman. Keep using your wonderful listening skills to try to figure out what the first sound is in these words! If you would like to practise more, you can rewatch Ms Louise’s Silly Soup video and make your own Silly Soup.
To practice our alliteration today, we will play a version of ‘I Spy’ which can be played at home, in the car, in the park - wherever you are. It’s a great way to practice this skill which is vital to learning to read and write.
Important information for grown ups - For this challenge the sound in the word is the same which may mean that the written letter is different e.g. car, cat, kite. These all begin with the ‘c/k’ sound. It may also mean that words that start with the same letter do not have the same sounds like tap, tin, train. Here ‘train’ begins with a ‘tr’ sound rather than a ‘t’ sound.
