We have had so much wonderful learning shared from home that we have now created a 'Sharing Our Learning' gallery on the main page so we can keep on adding more!

These are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!

Inquiry-based learning helps our children to stay curious and motivated to keep learning. Look at the phases that inquiry-based learning might take in the diagram below. You might go through all the stages in one day, or spend more time at each stage and explore a topic throughout the week.

Remember, if your child needs some inspiration to choose a line of inquiry today, you could watch our teachers modelling the inquiry questions they have, read our explorer-themed daily book or try our explorer-themed daily challenge.

Little Explorer challenge

Become an explorer today and head outside your home, your condo or to the local park. What kinds of things can you find outside to create some nature art? Can you create a picture or a design with your findings? Have fun!

วันนี้เราจะมาชวนเด็กๆ เป็นนักสำรวจกันนะคะ โดยที่เราจะออกไปสำรวจนอกบ้านกันค่ะ ซึ่งอาจจะเป็น คอนโดที่เด็กๆอยู่ หรือสวนสาธารณะใกล้บ้านก็ได้ค่ะ เด็กๆลองดูสิคะว่าเด็กๆสามารถหาอะไรจากนอกบ้าน ที่เราสามารถนำมาทำเป็นงานศิลปะจากธรรมชาติได้บ้าง เด็กๆสามารถที่จะสร้างเป็นรูปภาพหรือออกแบบเป็นสิ่งต่างๆที่เด็กๆต้องการจากสิ่งที่เด็กๆหามาได้

Development Matters Assessment Indicators

Children recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes and schools. They select and use technology for particular purposes.
Knows that information can be retrieved from computers
Children know about similarities and differences in relation to objects and materials.

We are also developing Characteristics of Effective Learning:

Maths: looking at patterns in nature

Wellbeing: five senses scavenger hunt

Use this list and your senses to go on a senses hunt. How many can you find? For an extra challenge, make your own list for a 5 senses hunt. What can you think of to add to your list?
