Good morning FS1 and FS2: click the links to find the video from your class teacher!
We have had so much wonderful learning shared from home that we have now created a 'Sharing Our Learning' gallery on the main page so we can keep on adding more!
These are some ideas for learning at home today. A reminder that you don't have to do all (or any) of these today. Maintaining a routine and a connection with school are the most important things!
This Week Foundation Stage Children are going to become...
Last week, we were exploring storytelling through imitating and innovating stories. This week, you can choose to continue to do this and enjoy practising the storytelling language in these existing stories. However, maybe you’d like to go onto the next step in the process: inventing your own story! Here, you can use the language and structure that you’ve practised and experiment with making up your own story. Your story will need characters, setting, an event and an ending.
Foundation Stage Collaborative Story Part 1
Watch Ms Clare lead a whole Foundation Stage collaborative story throughout the week - watch the video and then vote for your choice of character! She will respond to your ideas in tomorrow’s video.

Miss Sarah Models Inventing a Full Story
Use the picture cards to help invent your story, or use your own ideas. Today, you can focus on the character and setting, or write the whole story if you wish. Remember to keep stopping to retell the story from the beginning as practising oral retelling deepens our understanding of language.

Physical Development with Ms Gemma!
Lets get dancing today using a scarf. Dancing is great for children to develop their physical fitness. Scarf dancing in particular, helps children to develop stronger muscles in their shoulders and arms. Watch the video and follow along with Ms Gemma. Remember, if you don’t have a scarf you can always use a towel, pillow case or ribbon!

FS1 - Rhyming Story Challenge with Ms Elizabeth
Lots of our favourite stories use rhyming words to add interest and engaging sounds. Can you find 3 stories in your house that use rhyme? Share the stories with your family.
As you read the stories, see if you can guess the rhyming word before it’s read. This is a real challenge because you have to listen to the ending sounds of the word and understand what is happening in the story. Good luck!

Sensory Play - making gloop!
Providing opportunities for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through ‘sensory play’ is crucial to brain development – it helps to build nerve connections in the brain’s pathways. This leads to a child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks and supports cognitive growth, language development, gross motor skills, social interaction and problem solving skills.
